On February 14, 2017, LifeTech Scientific Corporation, together with Philippine charity organization Philippines Heart Foundation, held a charitable treatment activity at the Philippines General Hospital, where six children with a congenital heart defect (CHD) received congenital heart disease occlusions. All operations were performed by Dr. Dxter from pediatric cardiology department of the hospital, including three for patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and three for ventricular septal defect (VSD), all using LifeTech’s occluder products.

As a part of the activity, famous Philippine actress "Ms. Heart" Marie O. Escude, was invited to pay a visit to the children after the operations. The visit was widely covered in the media and brought a lot of attention to children with CHD in Philippines. As the producer of the occluders used in the operations, LifeTech was greatly concerned for the health conditions of the children after the operations and wished them a speedy recovery.

To raise public awareness and support of children with CHD in the Philippines, Philippines Heart Foundation, Philippines General Hospital and LifeTech Scientific Corporation jointly named February 14 as the "Fix Broken Heart Day", and expressed their commitment to continuing to give help and support to children with the disease.
